Mahiliou: Aleh Aksionau appeals KGB actions at court
Aleh Aksionau filed a complaint against
the illegal activities of the Mahiliou
Regional KGB Department
to the Leninski
District Court of Mahiliou. The
activist of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian
Democracy asks the court to abolish the warning, issued to him by KGB
and consider the prophylactic conversation, held by a KGB officer, as
illegal and unjustified.
Aleh
Aksionau also demands written apologies from the head of the Mahiliou
Regional KGB Department and oral apologies from the KGB officer
Makhunou.
Bear in mind that on 29 April the KGB officer
Makhunou summonsed Aleh Aksionau to the KGB headquarters for a
prophylactic talk. During the "conversation"
Makhunou
told the activist that
he was warned for alleged activities on behalf
of an unregistered
organization – the
organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, as well
as for participation in the activities of the two unregistered
organizations – the civil
campaign "For Fair Elections-2012" and the
Mahiliou regional
coalition of democratic
forces.
He presented print-outs from
independent web-sites, where the activist's name was mentioned, as
evidence. Aleh Aksionau has been under the prophylactic supervision
of the KGB for more than a year already. In the Mahiliou region,
preventive supervision has been also established over an activist of
the BCD Tatsiana Shambalava and the leader of the Mahiliou regional
organization of the Belarusian Popular Front "Adradzhenne"
Zmitser Salauyou.
