On 12 June a civil activist from Baranavichy Viktary Syrytsa was officially summonsed to the Baranavichy District Police Department as one of the organizers of the Milavidy festival in honor of the 150th anniversary of the uprising of 1863. Senior lieutenant Dzianis Maisenia, in the presence of the head of the public security and prophylaxis board, police major Vital Kuliashou, proposed Mr. Syrytsa and his counsel Zoya Haudzei to familiarize with a violation report against him and sign it. The police officer stated that the activist was charged under Part 2 of Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, "violation of the rules of organizing and holding mass events".

"I signed the report, but wrote that I strongly disagree with the charges. I wrote that on 5 May I received a letter No. 239 of 3 May 2013, signed by the deputy head of the executive committee A. Filanchuk, which reported that on 2 June the culture department of the executive committee would hold a mass event in Milavidy, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Milavidy. That's why we came to Milavidy not to hold an event, but just to take part in the official one," stated Mr. Syrytsa.

As stated by the police, his case would be passed to the court soon.
