Mikalai Statkevich visited by wife

On July 2 political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich was visited by his wife in Mahiliou prison No. 4, Radio Racyja reports.

“It was a short, two-hour meeting through the bars, double glass and on the phone. Mikalai has not changed, he’s the same as always, confident, calm, strong and very positive. Beautiful, absolutely free, a lot freer than those of his escort. Certainly incomparably – it is very striking. Compared with other prisoners, he is being escorted by a group of 4-5 people. We will survive, we will live it through,” said Maryna Adamovich.

“In all the time of his imprisonment, and it is already more than two years and seven months, I have only once had the opportunity to be close to Mikalai, to touch him, to hug him. The meeting took place in December 2011, in Shklou,” said Maryna Adamovich.
