Builder threatens journalist Siarhei Serabro with a pavement tile
On 5 July the photo journalist of the
online newspaper "Narodnyia naviny Vitsebska" Siarhei
Serabro was preparing photo essay on the impact of a flood caused by
a heavy rain in Vitsebsk. In particular, he paid interest to a pit
formed in the center of town, opposite the shopping center "Marco
City".
According to tut.by, a group of builders were working there at the time. Suddenly one of them, (as it turned out, he was the the chief of the brigade which constructed the underpass, a representative of the Minsk enterprises "Remservisbud" Aliaksandr Balakhin), began to behave quite strangely. He did not like that the actions of the workers were photographed by the journalist, and rushed towards the latter with a pavement tile in his hand, threatening to hit him with this tile unless he stopped taking photos.
The builder also swore dirtily,
saying something like: "The mayor has ordered to beat sh*t out
of you! You have already caused much trouble here!"
As stated by Mr. Serabro, he has many
various incidents in his work experience, but it was the first time
when he was threatened with physical violence.
