The imprisoned head of the Human Rights Center "Viasn" wrote it in his letter to Tamara Matskevich, the deputy head of the Belarusian Language Society. Despite the hard conditions in the penitentiary No. 2 in Babruisk, Bialiatski keeps bravely.

Tamara Matskevich: "He writes: "Most probably, I will have to be here until autumn, or even longer, and then the end of the term will come. That's why everything is alright. It's necessary to think about the internal, the spiritual growth and about Belarus after all, whereas You keep asking about my health, whether my spine aches or not. It is not that important: if my
homeland is gone than I am no more, as my friend Yedrus Akulin wrote. It is necessary to examine oneself day and night, as written by our spiritual father Yanka Kupala."

According to Tamara Matskevich, Ales Bialiatski is not a man who surrenders easily. "Even in hard conditions he keeps joking and supporting us from jail. He is a very strong man."

In this letter the human rights defender also wrote that he
passed the circulation of his last book, "Englightened by the Belarusian issue" for free distribution among teachers.
