Moscow, 4 August. At 4 p.m. a round table with the participation of human rights defenders and experts who study the development of the civil society in Belarus will take place at the Center for saving resources (design factory "Flacon", Bolshaya Novodmitrovskaya Street, 36-26-7. The experts will read short reports and answer the questions asked by the public.

he member of the human rights council under the President of Russia, Head of the International Observation Mission for Human Rights in Belarus Andrey Yurov, the leading researcher of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies “Higher school of economics” Andrey Suzdaltsev, the head of the independent research Center "Freedom Fails" Olga Zakharova, a journalist of the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty, author of the documentary book "Bialiatski's Case" Valery Kalinouski and the President of the Center for Democracy and Human Rights Yury Jibladze.

The presentation of the book “Bialiatski's Case” will take place at the round table.

At 17:30 there will open the exhibition "Solidarity is stronger repression”, which will give the visitors an opportunity to see the life of the country through the eyes of Belarusian photographers.

Voronezh. A a photo session with quotes of famous writers, philosophers, social activists, dedicated to the civil mutual aid, will be held near the monument to Andrey Platonov at 3 p.m.

At 7 p.m. a cultural event dedicated to Belarus will start at the book club “Petrovskiy”. It will include the demonstration of cartoons about Belarus, poetry reading in the Belarusian language and a discussion with the participation of human rights defenders in Belarus.

LITHUANIA.
Vilnius, 4 August. Belarusian Human Rights House named after Barys Zvoskau invites you to take part in events marking the anniversary of the arrest of Ales Bialiatski, which will be held in Vilnius on 4-5 August 2013.

On Sunday,
4 August, an informational action will be held in the center of Vilnius: activists will tell about the persecution of Ales Bialiatski and other social and political activists in Belarus, and everyone will be able to sign postcards to Belarusian political prisoners.

On Monday,
5 August, Belarusian, Lithuanian and Ukrainian social activists will gather near the Embassy of Belarus in the Republic of Lithuania to express solidarity and support to the human rights activist Ales Bialiatski, imprisoned for human rights activities, and all political prisoners in Belarus.

Warsaw. 4 August. The local activists intend to hold a street action, debates and a round table at the Belarusian House. The events will be attended by Marek Migalski and and probably Andrei Sannikau. A film demonstration and a jazz concert are planned as well.

Kyiv, 4 August. Ukrainian public organizations will create “Space of Free Belarus” In Mariinskyi park.

Since 12.00 a.m. on Sunday there will take place a photo exhibition, a per
formance about the situation of human rights in Belarus, collection of signatures under the petitions of Amnesty International against the secrecy surrounding the death penalty in Belarus and in defense of the Belarusian civil society, the campaign "Free University", "Belarusian body art "and others.

At
4.00 p.m. there will begin a leture on the history of political cartoons and a master class from the famous Ukrainian cartoonist, prize-winner of many competitions, Oleg Smal.

The central event of the evening action
is a special screening of the documentary film "Enough! To freedom ... " by the Belarusian film directors Andrei Kutsila and Viachaslau Rakitski. The film was presented at the international festival of human rights documentaries, Docudays UA, and tells about the events of December 2010 in Minsk, when thousands of people took to the streets in peaceful protest after the presidential election. The demonstration of the movie will start at 8.30 p.m.

The demonstration of the film will be followed by a discussion about it and the situation in Belarus with the participation of Belarusian political emigrants and members of the
International Observation Mission of the Committee on International Control over the Human Rights Situation in Belarus.
