Baranavichy: court returned the case against Mikhail Charnavus to police
Baranavichy
entrepreneur and social activist Mikhail Charnavus received a letter
signed by the chairman of the Baranavichy City and District Court,
Mikalai Kmita. The official writes that according to the court ruling
of 29 July 2013 the administrative case against him was returned to
the police so that they could correct the defects in it.
As we
have already written, police major Dzmitry Mizger drew up two reports
of administrative violation under Article 23.34, part 3 (organization
and holding an unauthorized mass event) on Mr. Charnavus, accusing
him of organizing rallies of Baranavichy entrepreneurs on 27 June and
1 July 2013.
“These were spontaneous gatherings of
entrepreneurs near the city tax inspection and at the cooperative
market. At present we aren't confident not only in our situation, but
aren't even sure that the state will protect small business according
to the new rules of the Customs union. That's why the individual
entrepreneurs of Baranavichy held a spontaneous strike. Most
probably, police major Dzmitry Mizger allowed many juridical mistakes
while drawing the reports, and the court considered it necessary to
correct them,” commented Mikalai Charnavus.
