“Gray Book” of Vitsebsk human rights defenders
These
days the “Gray Book” of Vitsebsk human
rights defenders, featuring a chronicle of
human rights violations in the Vitsebsk from July 2012 to June 2013,
has been published. The volume
of the book is 120 pages.
As stated
at the website vitebskspring.org, the
authors also prepared an electronic
version of the book (accessible on this
link).
The
book, issued for the second year already, includes the following
chapters: criminal cases against civil
society activists, violations of civil and political rights,
monitoring of trials, violations of the electoral law, restriction of
economic freedom, pressurization of
journalists, obstruction of human rights activists, civil actions and
appeals of Belarusian citizens to the UN
Human Rights Committee.
