Judge of the Pershamaiski District Court of Minsk Siarhei Bandarenka sentenced the activist of the “Young Front” Uladzimir Yaromenak to 1 million rubles of fine. On 28 August the court considered an administrative case against the activist under Article 24.12, part 2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Bear in mind that a week ago, on 20 August, the Pershamaiski District Court of Minsk sentenced Mr. Yaromenak to three months for alleged violation of the rules of preventive supervision (Article 421 of the Criminal Code). The verdict hasn't entered into fore yet and will be appealed by the activist.

Bear in mind that the Human Rights Center “Viasna” issued a special statement on the fact of the criminal persecution of Uladzimir Yaromenak, demanding to put an end to the practice of politically motivated persecution of political activists, human rights defenders, journalists and political opponents of the current regime, immediately and unconditionally release all political prisoners and to remove all restriction of their rights imposed as a result of their conviction.
