Young Christian Democrats keep seeking registration

The organizing committee for the creation of a public association called "Young Christian Democrats" is once again trying to obtain state registration, the press-service of the Belarusian Christian Democracy reports.

According to vice chair of the association Volha Kavalkova, it will be another attempt to register the association. The previous attempt was made last December, “Previously we were denied due to the fact that we had the word “Christian” starting with a capital letter in the name, as well as some other mistakes that we corrected in court. During the trial, we were also told that our Congress was not held, but when we presented a video, they did not dispute the fact, but still refused to register us. We consider these grounds for refusal of registration illegal.”

Volha Kavalkova also said that another founding congress of the Young Christian Democrats’ organizing committee was scheduled for late September.
