This time, a citizen of the village of Niadashava-2 in the Mahiliou district of the Mahiliou region filed a review appeal to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus.

He intends to appeal the verdict of the panel of judges of the Mahiliou Regional Court of 1 July 2013 against the verdict of the Leninski District Court of Mahiliou of 8 May on the appeal against the ruling of the Mahiliou District Executive Committee concerning the confiscation of the lands of the Niadashau Village Soviet and passing
to the collective farm “Pralesak” an area of 12.97 hectares within the limits of the settlement of Niadashava-2.

Moreover, Dzmitry Yaustratau wants to file the case to a new consideration at the Leninski District Court of Mahiliou at the stage of the preparation of the appeal.

“The farmer Yury Korshunau ploughed up the piece of land which was passed to him and saw corn on it. However, this plot of land is near the water pool and now the people cannot access it directly. He also ploughed up the road to the reservoir and now the people cannot access it directly. Moreover, it was a meadow which was transferred to the category of arable. My protest against the use of this land is predetermined by the fact, that the passing of the plot of land took place without the public discussion, as demanded by the law,” says Dzmitry Yaustratau.

Bear in mind that after Dzmitry Yastratau turned attention to the existing problem with the passing of the land of the general use to farmer Korshunau without civil hearings, activists of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party “Hramada” started a campaign for the introduction of the Law “On public hearings”. Residents of Niadashava-2 actively signed under the appeal to members of the local council and the Parliament. They gathered around 500 signatures, but the deputies saw now sense in this law.
