National-Bolshevik Dzianis Sakhar sentenced to a fine of 4 million rubles
On 5 September the activist of the
National-Bolshevik movement was found guilty of disobeying the lawful
demands of the police (Article 23.4 of the Administrative Code) and
fined 4 million rubles.
The case was considered in the Minsk
District Court by Judge Andrei Bialila.
Bear in mind that on 10 August Dzianis
Sakhar was detained by the police during a field training near the
Voukavichy water reservoir in the Minsk district. Along with him, the
police detained 11 more youths with the use of physical force and
tear gas. All of them were guarded to the Zhdanovichy District Police
Department by six cars and charged with "drinking alcohol in a
public place".
The trial of Dzianis Sakhar was twice
postponed due to the failure of the witnesses to timely come to the
court. However, today the activist has been found guilty under
Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and sentenced to
a fine of 4 million rubles.
