Dwellers of Pershamaiski District of Minsk intend to hold a local referendum
Residents of the
Pershamaiski district of Minsk intend to hold a local referendum on
the development of their neighborhoods. Minsk residents are
dissatisfied with the compaction of the living areas and cutting of
the green zones.
“Based on the fact that the territorial
resource of the area is limited, but its development is necessary, we
propose the authorities to consult the dwellers and find how they see
the development of the Pershamaiski district and whether they are
agree with the construction of more buildings among the existing
ones, or see the development as adjunction and exploration of new
territories, which will not cause a conflict in the interests of the
residents and the district authorities.
At present the
initiative group of the referendum includes 20 people. Over time,
their number will be increased. It is necessary to gather about
15,000 signatures for the referendum.
