Mahiliou activists of Belarusian Social Democratic Party want to bring MPs to justice
After collective
appeals have benn sent to four MPs representing Mahiliou, two of
them, Aliaksandr Razganau and Eduard Siankevich, didn't consider it
as necessary to give an answer to the activist.
To bring them
to justice for violating the Law “On Applications of Citizens”,
the activist of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada)
Leanid Padbiaretski and the adherents of the party Aliaksei Paulouski
and Dzmitry Yaustratau filed appeals to the General Prosecutor's
Office and the head of the Chamber of Representatives.
The
situation is commented by Leanid Padbiaretski:
“MPs
Stankevich and Vasilenka responded, whereas Razganau and Siankevich
didn't consider it necessary to answer the collective appeal of 500
citizens. Do they care about us now? They have received their seats
and forgot about the people's troubles.”
Mr. Padbiaretski
reminds, that the appeals were filed to the members of the Parliament
back in June 2013. Three months have passed, but there is still no
responce.
Bear in mind that in the beginning of the year the
Mahiliou activists of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party
initiated a campaign for the adoption of the Law “On Public
Hearings” with the aim to draw public attention to the constant
neglect by the authorities of the views of residents about their
plans, introduce in the legislation the compulsory procedure of
public hearings ina number of cases, including the construction of
new houses in the old districts and passing the land of a general use
to new owners.
