Minsk resident Ihar Ptichkin died in the detention facility No. 1 on August 4, 2013. He died on his fourth day in jail.
The Maskouski district department of the Investigation Committee launched an inquiry into the death of Ihar Ptichkin. On September 4, 2013, the inquiry was extended until November 4, 2013. Ihar's relatives still don't know the official cause of his death.
