On October 16, the court of Baranavichy district and the city of Baranavichy held a preliminary examination of a complaint by local civil society activist Mikalai Charnavus against head of the economics department of Baranavichy city executive committee Raisa Ulasovich.

Mikalai Charnavus argues that the official website of Baranavichy city executive committee features information about available rooms, so he repeatedly asked the officials to provide a room for a public association of the Ukrainian minority in Baranavichy called "Kobzar". However, all petitions were left unanswered.

As a result, Mikalai Charnavus asked the court to order the city officials to allocate one of the vacant premises for the organization.

Since the defendant did not to appear in court, Judge Mikalai Selmanovich adjourned the hearing till October 24.
