Raid on blogger's home in Babruisk
It happenned at 7 in the morning. The policemen entered the flat when the blogger's wife was leaving it.
The search was conducted by police majors Siarhei Rudzko and Dzmitry Rakouski. They showed a search warrant from prosecutor Artur Karapetyan and deputy heads of the Babruisk police department Vitaly Kharlamau and Aliaksandr Siarheyeu.
The ground to search the “scene of action”, as the warrant reads, was a request by officer of the road police major Yauheny Serashtanau. He claims audio and video records denigrating his honour and dignity were posted on the internet this year and last year. The warrant says the materials were posted by an 'unidentified person, supposedly Aleh Zhalnou'. Serashtanau demands to open a criminal case against the blogger.
We remind that Aleh Zhalnou is at law with road police officers. They try to convince judge Natallia Charapukha that the blogger and his son put up resistance to police officers and used physical force in reply to an order to come to a police station. Zhalnous say they didn't resist and claim they were victims of abuse of power by the road police officers.
