Citizens, detained near the detention facility in Akrestsin Street, released in three hours
On 6 November the police arrested nine people who came to the center for the isolation of offenders in Akrestsin Street to meet the Homel resident Yury Rubtsou, detained after the end of the “Dziady” rally in Minsk and sentenced to 3 days of arrest for the alleged “insubordination to the police”.
Among the detainees there are Leanid Kulakou, Volha Nikalaichyk, Yury Rubtsou, Yuliya Sakalova, Aksana Stsiapanava, Maryna Tsitova, Pavel Vinahradau and the journalist of the newspaper “Novy Chas” Viachaslau Piashko.
The detainees were taken to the Maskouski District Police Department of Minsk. The police put down their personal information. They also took off the T-shirt from Yury Rubtsou without drawing up a confiscation report. All detainees were released from the DPD three hours after the detention.
