Since 10 a.m. the deputy head of the United Civil Party Vasil Paliakou has been at the office of the head of the public order bureau of the Navabelitski District Police Department of Homel, Henadz Khilkevich. He has received charges of violating the order of organizing and holding mass events.
“My summons to the police is connected with our participation in the event in the memory of victims of Stalin's repressions, held in Homel on 3 November. Other activists and I laid down flowers to the crosses of suffering, installed in the places of mass killings during the years of Stalinist repression,” said V. Paliakou.
The trial will start at the Navabelitski District Court of Homel at 2.00 p.m on 13 November (Wednesday).
