Luninets District Court partially granted the claim of Leanid Dubanosau who was fired from the enterprise in Mikashevichy.

This year, the labor contract hasn't been extended for the activist of the Belarusian Independent Trade Union, who has worked at “Granite” for almost 25 years. Mr. Dubanosau is convinced that the reason for his dismissal is his participation in the independent trade union movement, as far as he didn't receive any admonitions related to labor relations.

Therefore, Leanid Dubanosau decided to demand a compensation through court, as the plant administration grossly violated the established order during his dismissal. Under current law, the employer is required to give the worker a written notice about the dismissal at least one month before the expiration of the contract. However, this wasn't done.

Mr. Dubanosau demanded from “Granite” 7 million rubles, but Judge Mikhail Dzianisavich granted the petition only partially, and ruled that the company's management was to pay to the trade union activist just 1 million rubles.
