Uladzimir Yaromenak to serve term in Baranavichy
The activist will spent the nearest three months in the detention facility in Baranavichy.
The wife of Young Front member Uladzimir Yaromenak learnt it from the Corrections Department. Her husband will be transferred from the pretrial detention centre in Minsk to the detention facility in Baranavichy, Radio Svaboda reports.
“I will visit the pretrial detention centre tomorrow to learn why my husband doesn't receive my telegrams about the application for a meeting with the lawyer. He has been in the detention centre for a week, but the lawyer doesn't have access to him, because Uladzimir allegedly didn't file an application for a meeting. I need to solve the problem,” Valiantsina Yaromenak said.
The activist was sentenced in August to 3 months of detention for violating the rules of preventive supervision.
Uladzimir Yaromenak was involved in the case on mass disorders in Minsk on December 19, 2010. He was sentenced to three years in a medium security correctional colony. Yaromenak was pardoned by Lukashenka in August 2011 and placed under preventive supervision. Yaromenak was tried two times since the release. On April 27, 2012, he received 7 days in custody for disorderly conducts. On January 24, 2013, he was sentenced to 12 days in custody for violating the rules of preventive supervision.
It's worth noting that the term of the preventive supervision already expired, but the political prisoner still has some restrictions: he can leave the town and even go abroad, but he must warn a corrections inspector if he is going to leave home for more than three months.
