Shklou District Council to have 35 seats instead of 40

Shklou District Election Commission adopted the decision to establish 35 constituencies for the election of deputies to Shklou District Council of the 27th convocation. The decision was published in the local newspaper "Udarny Front" (№ 101 of 31 December 2013).

The number of voters in each electoral district varies from 565 to 659.

Earlier Shklou District Council had 40 seats, whereas this time their number has been reduced to 35.

The district election commission, created by the joint sitting of the Executive Committee and the Presidium of Shklou District Council of Deputies consists of 13 people, most of whom work in the public sector institutions. Aliaksandr Huryn the head of Shklou district committee of the trade union of education and science workers, nominated to the commission by collecting people's signatures, was elected its chairman. Halina Marfel, chair of Shklou vocational lyceum No. 12, was elected his deputy.

The overwhelming majority of members of Shklou district commission on elections of deputies of the District Council of Deputies has repeatedly participated in elections at various levels as members of election commissions.
