Autukhovich's wife says her husband is provoked to violate the prison regime

After the last meeting with political prisoner Mikalai Autukhovich his wife Alena Autukhovich said that he was provoked to violate the prison regulations.

Earlier his mother Lidziya Autukhovich reported to Radio “Liberty” that she had sent a medical parcel to her son back in the middle of December, but in his latest letter he wrote he hadn't received the parcel. Did he receive it by the time of the meeting with his wife? Alena Autukhovich says her husband has received neither the parcel, nor envelopes and postcards, that's why he couldn't congratulate his friends on the New Year, for which he apologized.

Lidziya Autukhovich is very worried that her son was left without medication.

"He needs these medicines, but they don't give them to him. I am very worried about it! I tried to send the parcel as quickly as possible. The day when I received the letter that hte parcel can be sent, I bought everything he needed and sent it the following day. However, he still hasn't received these medicines, though a new year has begun already!”

Vaukavysk entrepreneur Mikalai Autukhovich was sentenced to 5 years and 2 months of imprisonment for alleged possession of ammunition. Avtukhovich himself believes that he was punished for fighting local corruption. The political prisoner kept in Hrodna prison as a repeated violator of the prison regime.
