CEC to reconsider registration of two nominations

On January 20, Mikalai Ulasevich, an activist from the town of Varniany, was notified by the Central Election Commission that on January 21 it would hold a meeting to review the registration of Ulasevich’s two nomination teams enforced by Astravets District Election Commission.

Mikalai Ulasevich is surprised at the fact that the decision will have to be made by the CEC, skipping the Hrodna Regional Election Commission. Astravets District Election Commission registered Ulasevich’s initiative groups to collect signatures for his nomination to the District Council in constituencies Nos. 3 and 15. Ulasevich already received all the certificates for the members of his campaign teams, but now he can’t be sure whether the activists will be allowed to collect signatures.
