“I will show the documents only at court and only to the judge”

This was the answer given by the head of the department of ideology, culture and youth affairs of the Brest City Executive Committee Aksana Dutchyk to election observer Uladzimir Vialichkin who attended the meeting of the Maskouski District Executive Committee of Brest on formation of precinct election commissions.

The observer just asked the official to show him the documents on the basis of which people were nominated to the PECs, as far as nothing was said about it during the meeting of the election commission. 1,114 people were included in the PECs. However, there was no information about their occupation and ways of nomination.

Mr. Vialichkin believes that such a reaction of a representative of the state body responsible for the formation of election commissions may well witness the absence of the documents for the nomination of representatives to the election commissions, as a result of which the authorities have nothing to show to election observers.
