Court upholds fine imposed on participant of “Stop Tax” action by traffic police
January 13 Dzmitry Dzmitryieu was stopped by traffic police while driving on Nezalezhnasts Avenue in Minsk. That day, owners of motorcars held the action "Stop Tax" against the imposition of a tax on admission of vehicles to traffic movement.
Traffic police charged Mr. Dzmitryieu for using the unreasonable use of the beep signal, violation of paragraph 172 of the traffic rules, and punished with a fine of 390,000 rubles. The driver disagreed with the charges and the punishment.
In his appeal he stated that the report of administrative violation, drawn up by the police, doesn't meet the legal requirements, and his guilt wasn't proved. February 25, his appeal was considered by Judge of the Maskouski District Court Tatsiana Motyl. Referring to the reports of the traffic policement, the judge stated that the fine was issued lawfully, and upheld the actions of the traffic police.
Dzmitry Dzmitryieu has filed an appeal against the verdict of the Maskouski District Court of Minsk.
