They were accused of an unauthorized action – a pre-election picket where they supported Belarusian political prisoners near Minsk Kamarouski Market on March 16.
Uladzimir Ramanouski, Ales Arastovich, Yauhen Hrapau and Mikhail Babila were jailed for 10 days. Hanna Kanapatskaya and Volha Mayorava were fined for 4 million Belarusian roubles each, the UCP press service reports.
UCP leader Anatol Liabedzka was jailed for 15 days because he was also charged with petty hooliganism. It means that the opposition politician will be in jail on the day of the local elections (March 23) and Freedom Day (March 25).
