Candidate in Baranavichy denied radio airtime
A candidate in the elections to local councils, Mikalai Charnavus, has been unable to appear on Baranavichy state-owned radio channel. He filed a complaint with the chairman of the CEC, saying that he was at a disadvantage with other candidates. Mikalai Charnavus reports that he has prepared a speech for the radio, but he has not received an invitation. In his complaint, he writes that the chairperson of the commission of constituency No. 21 Larysa Antonava deliberately excluded his name from the list of candidates entitled with a right to speak on the radio. In this regard, the civil society activist asks the CEC Chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna to oblige chairperson of the territorial commission to add his name to the list of candidates to speak on local radio with their electoral programs.
