Observer in Homel denied access to information and removed from polling station
At the Homel-based polling station No. 2 of Navabelitskaya constituency, Chairman of the election commission refused to provide information to observer Kanstantsin Zhukouski. The election official, Andrei Charnou, according to the observer, behaved "brutal". "He refuses to provide any information, for example, how many ballots were taken for home voting, how many applications were submitted, threatens me with some responsibility, arrest by the police, he did not allow reporters to take pictures here. If everything is OK, then why do these things to an observer?" says Kanstantsin Zhukouski.
Later, Chairman of the Election Commission ordered the policeman to remove observer from the polling station. "The policeman took me out, but I had not been warned, nor charged with anything, they just threw me out in a brutal way by order of the Chairman right at the time when they started to count the votes. The Commission members were sitting very far from us, and I wanted it take some photos," said Kanstantsin Zhukouski.
