An independent observer in Zhodzina, Aliaksei Lapitski, says that Zhodzina has not seen such a high voter turnout in any of the previous local elections. Meanwhile, in terms of visibility the campaign was practically unnoticed.

Of the 48 registered candidates only 9 collected signatures, and of the 36 city constituencies only 12 (30%) showed competition. An election fund in the amount of 720,000 rubles was formed by just one candidate who managed to use these funds to produce 1,000 leaflets and distribute them through mailboxes. Other candidates were not campaigning at all.

However, voter turnout was high - 70% according to the City Election Commission. These figures do not coincide with those of independent observers. At polling station No. 20, Aliaksei Lapitski counted about 60% of voters, most of them gave their votes during early voting.
