Vitsebsk opposition activists Barys Khamaida and Yan Salauyan are expected to be released today after they were detained ahead of Freedom Day in the evening on March 24.
As reported by freeregion.info, the activists were sentenced to three days of arrest by the Court of Vitsebsk Chyhunachny district. However, the reason for the detention, as well as the charges, are still unknown.
A representative of Vitsebsk temporary detention facility said that Khamaida and Salauyan were detained for an offense (he refused to specify which).
