Belarusian anarchist detained in Russia, charged with terrorism
A resident of Homel, Dzmitry Rezanovich, was detained when crossing the border from Ukraine to Russia in the night of 13 March. Dzmitry Rezanovich is an activist in the anarchist movement in Belarus. He was an active participant in the Kyiv Maidan protests.
The border guards handed him over to representatives of the Russian FSB (Federal Security Service), who escorted Rezanovich to Kursk. Now he is under investigation and is held in custody. However, his relatives were not allowed to visit him.
Rezanovich’s friends say that “in the near future a lawyer will go there and new details on the arrest will be announced”.
It also became known that the FSB’s Kursk department, apart from illegal crossing the state border, charged the activist with plotting a terrorist attack at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant.
