Baranavichy activists Viktar Syrytsa, Siarhei Housha, Anzhalika Kambalava and Mikalai Antanovich have paid a visit to Viktar Syrytsa, the father of the political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich.

They drank some tee and spoke about the release of Mikalai Autukhovich, read the letters and postcards of Mikalai Statkevich from Mahiliou prison No. 4 and his correspondence with representatives of state agencies, friends and associates. They also discussed the situation around and Ukraine.

“Viktar Statkevich has been feeling not quite well lately. He complains of severe pain in the head and dizziness. In January he turned 87 years old. He is very anxious that he may not see his son Mikalai, who is serving a six-year prison term in the Mahiliou prison No. 4 for participation in a protest action in Minsk in December 2010. We wished Viktar Statkevich a strong health and hope that his brave son will not only endure all the troubles and trials, but will also successfully overcome them, as he has done many times in his life,” said Viktar Syrytsa.
