Ex-candidate loses job in Baranavichy
Ryhor Hryk, former candidate for the Baranavichy City Council and the Brest Regional Council, has been fired from the Modern Building Materials Ltd. where he has worked as a locksmith since February 2013. The order of dismissal signed by the company director Halina Buliha says that Ryhor Hryk has been fired “by agreement of the parties”.
The activist himself believes that after the local elections the executive committee has increased its pressure on the administration of the enterprise demanding his dismissal.
“In 2008, I was running for the House of Representatives and I was fired from Baranavichy cotton mill. And in 2010, I refused to withdraw my candidacy in the elections to the local councils, and I was fired from the train depot, where I had worked as a mechanic. Now I faced such a working environment that I had to write a letter of resignation,” said Ryhor Hryk.
