Human rights defenders Siarhei Rusetski and Tamara Shchapiotkina received on April 25 a summons to the police. Police Major Dzmitry Mastyka served a summons, which had no name or address. The activists were not told about the nature of the case where they are expected to appear as witnesses.

The following day, a representative of the police department said that the summons related to a lawsuit against ban on a picket on April 25 submitted to the court, which supposedly ordered to talk with the defenders. The police officer, however, refused to explain what the claim against the executive committee had to do with the police.

The human rights defenders believe that the summons is a warning to the activists against going to the Chernobyl Way demonstration to Minsk.

Tamara Shchapiotkina intends to complaint against the police and the court.
