Mass trials of activists of “Malady Front”

On 6 May, trials of activists of “Malady Front” organization registered in Czech Republic who were detained ahead of the Ice Hockey World Championship will be held.

According to the web-site mfront.net, the administrative case of Andrus Tsianiuta will be heard in the Chyhunachny district court of Homiel. Andrus was detained on 4 May. The police officers drew up two administrative reports on him: one for disorderly conduct, and the other for disobedience to the law-enforcement officials.

Human rights defenders qualify such detentions as groundless and politically motivated.

Leninski district court of Minsk sentenced Mikhas Muski to 20 days of arrest by judge Mikhail Khoma.

People in plain clothes captured the activists, threw them on the ground, put the bag on their heads and then threw them into a car. In such condition they have been kept for more than one hour.

Zmicer Kremianetski is accused of disorderly conduct (Art. 17.1 of Administrative Code). The trial was postponed to the second half of the day by judge Khoma.

Mikola Dzemidzenka was sentenced to 20 days of arrest according to two articles of Administrative Code at the Frunzenski district court of Minsk by judge Liudmila Lapo. The police officials Kruk and Zanko have witnessed that Dzemidzenka was easing himself at the public place and didn’t react at the police reprimands.

Andrei Tsianiuta was sentenced by the Chyhunachny district court of Homel to 10 days of arrest: 3 days for disorderly conduct and 7 days for disobedience to the law-enforcement officials. Judge – Anatol Sotnikau.
