Mikalai Autukhovich not allowed to visit Minsk for medical examination
The police of Vaukavysk forbade the former political prisoner to leave the town for a medical examination.
Mikalai Autukhovich said it to charter97.org.
“I filed an application to the corrections department asking permission to go from Vaukavysk to Minsk for a medical examination. The corrections officer tried to explain the reason for the ban, but I didn't understand. I asked to give me a copy of the application with his reply, be he refused and said the paper would be attached to my file. I said I am advised to have a medical examination before a surgery. Doctors suspect I may have diabetes. If it is true, no one will do a dental implant surgery on me. But I didn't persuade him,” he noted.

Human rights activists recognised him a political prisoners, who was convicted for his anti-corruption activity. He faced serious problems with health during the prison term.
Autukhovich was put under preventive supervision for 16 months after the release.
