In the evening of May 29, Minsk police detained several persons involved in a picket under the slogan “Death to Kremlin Invaders!”, which was staged in the city’s central Kastrychnitskaya Square. All of them are activists of the youth public association “Alternative”, says the NGO’s leader Aleh Korban on Facebook.

At about 7 p.m., they came to Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk with a poster “Death to Kremlin Invaders!” A few minutes later, a riot police bus arrived. As a result, three picketers, Volha Burnevich, Volha Zhurauliova and Siarhei Kachur, were detained and taken to the Tsentralny district police department. Four hours later they were released. Volha Zhurauliova was charged with illegal picketing. She is expected to stand trial on Monday. It was also reported that Volha had her 6-year-old son with her during the picket. He, too, was brought to the police station.
