Baranavichy activists bid for picketing on anniversary of Declaration on State Sovereignty of Belarus

July 1 Baranavichy civil society activists and representatives of political parties Ryhor Hryk, Viachaslau Bolbat and Siarhei Housha filed an application to Baranavichy City Executive Committee city council to hold a picket on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Belarus.

As it is stated in the application for the picket, July 27, 1990 the Supreme Council adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the BSSR. However, this event is rarely mentioned nowadays and the applicants want to remind Baranavichy residents applicants about the main ideas of the Declaration.

The activists want to hold the action in the old city park in Kamsamolskaya Street, the stated number of participants is about ten people.
