Opposition activists get arrested before Minsk meeting
Police detains the activists before the meeting of Poroshenko, Putin and EU leadership.
Police took Dzmitry Kramianietski right from his home. His girlfriend reported of the detention to a human rights activist Nasta Lojka, Radio Svaboda reports.
“They came, said to do with them and took him away”, - she said.
Policemen also tried to break into the apartment of a Young Front activist Raman Vasilijeu. This information comes from the Facebook account of Mikalaj Dziemidzienka.
Yesterday Zmena’s activist Paviel Vinahradau was sentenced to a 10-day arrest under charges of disorderly conduct.
In the opinion of human rights activists, the detentions could possibly be linked to the meeting between the leader of Ukraine, heads of the Customs Union and EU representatives, which will take place in Minsk on 26 August.
