Baranavichy: Mikalai Charnafus defends his honor and dignity at court

September 9, individual entrepreneur Mikalai Charnavus filed a lawsuit to protect his honor and dignity to the Baranavichy City and District Court. He appeals the actions of the deputy head of the Baranavichy City Police Department Eldar Vilchkouski.

The plaintiff believes that Mr. Vilchkouski circulated defamatory information that the entrepreneur simulated a hypertensive crisis during his detention at the strike of entrepreneurs on July 2.

Therefore, in accordance with Art. 153 of the Civil Code of Belarus and guided by art. 6 of the Civil Process Code, the social activist asks to:

1) establish the fact that the information spread by Lieutenant Colonel Eldar Vilchkouski is false;
2) recognize the distributed information as discrediting the honor and dignity of the plaintiff;
3) require the Lieutenant Colonel Eldar Vilchkouski to refute the false information by giving oral and written apologies, and to inform the leadership of the Baranvichy City Police Department, the Baranavichy City and District Court, the Chair of the Brest Regional Court Suchok T.I. and judges of the Brest Regional Court about it.
4) recover from the defendant the whole sum of the court fee paid by Mikalai Charnavus.
