Photo exhibition on events in Ukraine in the Belarusian Human Rights House
A photo exhibition "Revolution of dignity – in the epicenter of events" will be held in the Belarusian Human Rights House of Barys Zvozskau in Vilnius. There will be pictures from Kiev protests made by the photojournalist from Chernigov Maryianna Hardzi.
Photos of the event rocked the whole world and now residents and guests of Vilnius will be able to see them at the exhibition, which will be opened at 3 p.m. on September 26.
40 pictures made by Maryianna Hardzi show the events in Ukraine from November 2013 to February 2014, when a massive peaceful protest against the non-signing of documents on association between Ukraine and the European Union has grown into a bloody confrontation between protesters and members of the security forces in the center of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities.
"I truthfully described the events on Maidan, sending reports to different newspapers. I thought it was my duty. The exhibition will present how people were living these days, "- says about her work during the protests Maryianna Hardzi. During the opening of the exhibition visitors can not only see pictures of Kiev events, but also can get acquainted with the author of them, listen to her stories about what she saw and ask questions.
As a photojournalist Maryianna Hardzi is working with a number of Ukrainian medias, and she is also the winner of several photo contest and a permanent participant of different exhibitions. During the shooting of protests in the city center in January and February 2014 photographer was injured, was awarded for her work in hot spots of Euromaidan and has already organized several exhibitions on this subject in Poland and Ukraine.
