Hrodna: October 2 - The trial of journalist Andrei Mialeshka

Authorities of Hrodna continue to persecute a freelance journalist Andrei Mialeshka. This time, the administrative case - again under the Article 22.9 of the Administrative Code Part 2 against freelance will consider the Grodno regional court. Andrei Mialeshka accused of illegal production and distribution of information products. Protocol of the allegedly administrative violation was made ​​in absence. On 16 June this year Oktyabrsky District Court of Hrodna sentenced to fine of 4 and a half million rubles journalist for the material prepared for "The Belarusian Radio Ratsyia." Decision was taken by Judge Dzmitry Kedal.
Andrei Mialeshka received protocol on administrative violation by mail. In another letter it was reported that the case could be investigated without the participation of the journalist. In this report from the police department of the Kastrychnitski district wasn’t a date of initiation of the case, or who initiated it. These letters came without seals, and the protocol says that was some unknown witness questioned.
Administrative case against Andrei Mialeshka should be investigated on Thursday, October 2 at 9.30 a.m. in the Grodno regional court.
