The administration of the Belarusina Tractor Details and Aggregates Plant continues getting rid of members of the Free Trade Union of Belarus. This time, Aleh Shauchenka, Aliaksandr Benasik and Mikalai Zhybul have been informed that the labour contracts with them would not be extended. Recently it has also happened to Aliaksandr Varankin and Aliaksandr Hramyka.

Mikalai Zhybul had just two years left to pension. He worked at the plant for 30 years, but was suddenly made redundant to an “optimization of the number of workers”. Meanwhile, the plant constantly places ads searching for new workers.

Members of the Free Trade Union of Belarus state that the real reason for the dismissals is membership of the workers in the trade union and their brave struggle for their labour rights, which annoyed the plant director Aliaksandr Ahranovich.
