Young Christian Democrats demand to put an end to the torture of young activists

The organizing committee of the public association “Young Christian Democrats” issued a statement concerning the systemic administrative prosecution of young activists:
“Young Christian Democrats are outraged with the torture of Pavel Vinahradau and other young activists who suffer a systemic administrative prosecution for their political and civil position. The amount of time and the conditions in which they are kept under arrest make them almost equal to the political prisoners, imprisoned under criminal charges.
We demand that the Belarusian authorities stop torturing young activists. We call on all Belarusian and international human rights organizations and youth organizations and initiatives to consider the problem of numerous administrative arrests in order to give a proper assessment to the regular arrests of young activists and abuse of them and their families.”
