Antifascists accused of defiance police officers
Four activists of the anti-fascist movement, tough detained by the Special Police Force on Friday, will be judged in Minsk today. They are accused of defiance police officers.
According to the website abc-belarus, in the afternoon on October 18, at Nazaleznasti Avenue near Kastrychnickaya Square the Special Police Force vehicle cut off a red VAZ 2109 with the number plate of the Vitebsk region. SPF crashed the left side window and dragged the driver and three passengers out of the car, putting them down to theasphalt.
A minibus with police officers and the Investigative Committee came soon, after this the detainees were loaded into a minibus of the Special Police Force.
The representatives of the police refused to explain the reasons for the detention, as well as give any comments.
The detainees were identified from photographs of their friends. According to them, four young people are participants in the anti-fascist movement, which could be the reason of their detention. Three detainees are from Minsk, and the forth is from Brest. His name is Alexander Bahdanau.
"Guys from Minsk after rehearsal (they play street punk) drove one of Brest, who came to visit them, to the railway station, but didn’t came there. Now they are in the police station of the Central district of Minsk. Police said the parents of boys and girls that they are detained for the violation, but not clarifying for which exactly, "- said one of the arrested anti-fascists’ friends.
