Activist Dzmitry Paloika has been released after serving ten days in jail. He was convicted by the Baranavichy Court of disorderly conduct under Art. 17.1 of the Administrative on December 21.

“We have learned that during the arrest Dzmitry was under strong pressure of the KGB, who tried to find out the circumstances of his stay in Ukraine and, possibly, the reasons for the appearance of his name in the list of the Ukrainian battalion Donbass,” says an activist of the movement For Freedom Viktar Syrytsa.

According to him, Dzmitry Paloika is now forbidden to leave Belarus.

Dzmitry Paloika was detained by police and KGB upon his arrival from Ukraine. He was charged with disobedience to the police and the Baranavichy City Court found him guilty and sentenced him to 10 days in jail, which he served in the temporary detention facility of local police department.
