Former political prisoner Aliaksandr Frantskevich detained by police
Aliaksandr Frantskevich on his release from jail (September 3, 2013)
As it became known to the Human Rights Centre “Viasna”, at 4 p.m. on February 2 Aliaksandr Frantskevich was detained by police.
The detention can be related to the recent protest actions held by activists of the anarchist movement and the photo reports about them, published in the Internet. At present we are trying to find about the formal grounds for the detention and the whereabouts of the detained activist.
Let us remind that four activists are now serving arrest terms on charges of participation in the unauthorized.
Aliaksandr Frantskevich was recognized a political prisoners after being sentenced to three years of imprisonment in May 2011 within the frames of the so-called “case of anarchists”. In the beginning of September 2013 he was released from jail. This is not the first his detention after the released from jail.
