Entrepreneur arrested for 15 days after going to Council of Ministers for negotiations
February 3, in an interview with charter97.org director of international freight Siarhei Shoda, sentenced to a fine of 80,000 Euros for alleged violations of the rules of cargo transportation within the BelToll system of paid roads in Belarus, stated his plans to meet with the representative of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Matsiusheuski in order to settle the situation.
He also promised various consequences in the case the negotiations failed, including bringing to the streets thousands of victims of such violations on the part of the state.
The meeting was to take place at 9 a.m. in Savetskaya Street, 11, near the Council of Ministers. After the meeting, he stopped answering the phone. Siarhei's wife informed Charter'97 that he also didn't manage to reach him on the phone since morning.
As we have learned, Siarhei Shoda was charged with an administrative offense and sentenced to 15 days of arrest. The essence of the charges is not known so far.
