Self-employed businesswoman summoned to KGB after meeting with Seviarynets
A dweller of Vaukavysk Volha Kavalchuk received a phone call and was summoned to the KGB.
Charter97.org website has been informed about that by the press-service of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party.
Volha Kavalchuk was summoned over the phone, but she refused to go. It happened after the meeting with the co-chairman of the organizing committee for creation of the BCD party Pavel Seviarynets. It took place in Vaukavysk on February 2 in the house of the businesswoman.
In order to clear up the situation, a co-chairman of the organizing committee for creation of the BCD party Vital Rymasheuski called the KGB head office in Vaukavysk, but its representatives denied comments, saying that all officers were out of the office.
“Belarusian Christian Democrats view that as a fact of pressure and persecution of public activists on political grounds, and placing obstacles for efforts aimed at creation of the BCD party. We age going to follow the situation closely and demand explanations,” the statement of the organizing committee reads.
